COVID-19 Updates for Today:
Oregon Health Authority reported no new COVID-19 cases in Central Oregon today. Oregon Health Authority also reported that one case previously reported as a Deschutes County case has been updated to Washington County today. As a result, Deschutes County now has 24 known cases of COVID-19.
Today, Deschutes County began reporting the total number of cases who have recovered on the County's COVID-19 webpage.
Oregon Health Authority reported a total of 84 new cases and 2 new deaths from COVID-19 today. There are now a total of 690 known cases and 18 deaths from COVID-19 statewide. More information on case counts are listed below.
CDC reports there are now 163,539 total cases of COVID-19 in the United States.
Worldwide case counts are now >693,000.

Central Oregon Public Health Response
Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson County Public Health Departments regularly manage communicable disease outbreaks, and we are prepared to investigate and respond. When a positive case of COVID-19 is identified in our community, Public Health Nurses work oncontact tracing to identify and notify individuals who might have been exposed.
We began preparing for local impacts of COVID-19 and regularly meeting with healthcare partners, Oregon Health Authority, and CDC in January 2020.
We continue to work closely with local schools, healthcare providers, emergency services, cities, businesses, and others to coordinate efforts and to share the most up-to-date information.
This situation update was compiled by the Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson County Health Departments. It will be updated with state, national, and worldwide situation data and sent Monday through Friday.
